ENROLLMENT PROCESS:
Important Enrollment Information for the 2026-2027 School Year
Online Enrollment for TK and Kindergarten
Beginning January 5, 2026, online enrollment will open for the 2026-2027 Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten classes. Please enroll by April 15, 2026. Please note: if we have more interested than space, in TK (since we will likely only have 1 TK class, with a max of 20 students) it is now FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED, so get your enrollment in early.
Eligibility Requirements
-
Kindergarten: Children must be born between September 2, 2020, and September 1, 2021.
-
Transitional Kindergarten (TK): Children must be born between September 2, 2021, and September 1, 2022.
You must register your child in the system for the correct grade based on their age as indicated above. If you strongly believe your child should be placed in a grade that does not align with their age, this can be discussed with the teacher, during your child’s spring registration appointment, but typically all students are placed based on age.
Please review the registration process outlined below.
Enrollment Process for New Families
-
Determine Your School of Residence
Use the LTUSD Zone Map to identify your designated school based on your home address. Enrollment should be completed for this school. As part of the enrollment process, we are required to collect proof of residency upon acceptance. If you are hoping to get in to the Bijou TWI lottery, and you live in Meyers, please hold off on doing the online enrollment until you know (the lottery is the end of Feb). Then, let me know via email ([email protected]) after you submit your enrollment, so I can leave it in the queue for Bijou.
-
In-Boundary Enrollment
At this time, we are only able to admit students who reside within the designated boundaries. However, students with an older sibling currently attending Meyers (and entering grades K-5 in Fall 2026) will be considered for enrollment even if they live outside of the boundary. Please note that LTUSD provides limited transportation for out-of-boundary students, and enrollment priority will be given to in-boundary students. Additionally, students living outside of the boundary may be subject to "bumping" if an in-boundary student requires placement. (please email [email protected] if you need to enroll an out-of-boundary student - due to sibling status as noted above - because the system won't allow you to enroll outside your boundary, and we will need to pull your record over from your in-boundary school)
-
New Students
If your child is new to LTUSD, complete the online enrollment for your school of residence and select the appropriate enrollment year (or pre-enrollment if applicable).
-
School Transfers
If you wish to transfer from another LTUSD school and reside within the designated boundary, please email [email protected] with the following details:
-
Child's full name
-
Date of birth
-
Physical address
-
Current school and grade
Please note that this transfer request is subject to verification of your residence within the appropriate boundary.
-
Required Documents
Please do not submit any paperwork to the school until you are contacted by email to schedule a registration appointment. If you encounter issues accessing the online enrollment forms, full packets will be made available on the website under the Forms section and in the school lobby. Be sure to select the appropriate grade level for your child’s enrollment.
Required documents include:

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Program
The TK program is a half-day program, running from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. After TK dismissal, the Boys and Girls Club will provide extended care. For enrollment information, please contact them directly at (530) 542-0838.
We invite you to attend our Open House on June 4, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM to learn more about the school and meet the staff.
Enrollment Priorities
The following priority order will be used for enrollment:
-
In-Boundary Families: Students who wish to attend their designated school of residence (based on the transportation zone map) will receive the highest priority.
-
Siblings of Currently Enrolled Students: Families with children who have an older sibling currently enrolled in LTUSD and returning for grades 1-5 in Fall 2026 will have second priority, even if they live outside of the transportation zone.
-
Out-of-Zone Requests: At this time, the district is not accepting out-of-zone enrollment requests unless the student meets the criteria outlined above.
